Hard Health Truths

Just as the title suggests it’s time to face up to some hard truths.  It’s time for some serious questions and some serious honest answers.

This is for people who always say they would like to lose a few pounds, get in better shape, have more energy and look great, yet there’s more talk than action. If you’re already there then this post isn’t for you.

1.  Are you willing to keep a food diary?

Common response:  I don’t have time.  It’s a pain to do. I keep forgetting.

Rocofit response: It takes 30 seconds tops after you finish eating.  Keep a small note book with you or use your phone, it couldn’t be easier.  This is an incredibly powerful tool.  It’s amazing how many people are shocked at what they do or don’t eat over a weeks time.

2. Do you drink 1.5-2 Liters of water a day?

Common Response:  It’s too much.  It’s annoying to always have to go to the toilet.  I don’t like it.

Rocofit response: Get drinking and your body will adapt, you won’t be running to the toilet that often after a few days of sticking with it.  Don’t like it?  Add some lemon, drink herbal teas and learn to love it!

3.  Are you exercising at least 3 times a week?

Common Response:  No time. Too tired. I don’t know what to do.

Rocofit response: Keep your workouts to 30 minutes, just be sure to work hard.  There are so  many choices out there either on line or in your local area to help you find something you enjoy.  After a few sessions you’ll find that regular exercise will leave you feeling energised.

4.  Do you eat 5 servings of fruits and vegetables?

Common Response: I don’t have time.  I don’t like most of them.  I forget.

Rocofit Response: Try something new each week.  Variety is key to getting as many nutrients as you can.  You may even surprise yourself.  Something you didn’t like as a child you may find that you enjoy as an adult.

Water, Sleep, Nutrition and Exercise are all keys to good health.  It’s essential to balance them all if you want to achieve results.  The response to many of these questions is I don’t have time.

The hard truth: If you don’t find the time to invest in your health you will definitely find the time to invest in your illness.
