I seriously can not believe it took me this long to make almond milk. It’s incredibly simple to do and the best part is you know exactly what you are drinking.
I’m finding store bought almond milks are adding more and more things to their almond milk. At first the ingredient list was 3-4 things and now it’s a long one. I don’t want to get in to what it all is. I like to keep thinks simple. If my ingredient list is long and I can’t pronounce half of it changes are it’s not great for me.
Here’s how simple it is to make:
You will need:
15-20 almonds soaked overnight
1 cup Filtered water
Maple syrup is optional
Simply blend the almonds with the water until milky, this usually takes 2-3 minutes.
This recipe is amazing for adding to smoothies or making chia seed pudding with.
If you do want to use it to add to tea or coffee then you will need to strain it. You can do this simply with a nut bag or cheese clothe.
