The cost of food and how expensive it is to eat healthy is a common topic of conversation.
Is eating healthy however too expensive or is it simply our priorities and choices?
Priorities
Many people spend money on looking beautiful on the outside: new clothes, beauty products, teeth whitening, spa treatments, expensive hair cuts, perfume, etc.
Yet when it comes to buying products for our insides…food! Cost often becomes an issue. Stressing over the price of good quality food or how overpriced organic is.
It’s true eating healthy can be expensive but it’s also about making the right choices.
Choices
Do we need to spend money on overpriced kale chips when we can make them ourselves for pennies?
Do we need to spend money on the latest raw food bar when we can simply eat an in season apple?
Eating healthy may be more expensive than eating low quality junk food but it doesn’t need to break the bank.
Food truly is medicine. If we’re willing to spend so much money on the outside looking good then surely it makes sense to redistribute where we spend our money, using it on giving ourselves great health from the inside out.

Great article. Eating healthy and consciously is definitely inexpensive when you have a purpose for your food!
